Fractalbase Posted May 29 Posted May 29 checking archives seems to happen after every other change I make in Vortex. I'd like to be able to disable archive checking. I checked the extensions tab, no check archives extension. I looked through the settings tab several times, no luck. Any help?
ChemBoy1 Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Game? Vortex version? My guess is you are referring to the gamebryo archive management for .bsa files?
Fractalbase Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 vortex version: 1.13.7 Skyrim SE/AE, version 1.6.1170 and yes, probably the gamebryo archive mgmt.

Fractalbase Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 I don't seem to see the gamebryo options in the extensions list:
Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted June 2 Community Manager Posted June 2 This check should have a near zero performance cost so I'm not entirely sure why you'd want to disable it. It just reads the first 8 bytes of the BSA or BA2 files in the game folder to check you've not done anything that will crash the game.
